8.1. As required by the UK Data Protection Act 1998, we have established strict regulatory and security procedures for the storage and disclosure of information that you provide, to prevent unauthorised access to or disclosure of the information collected online. Please remember that internet communications are not secure unless the data is encrypted. We cannot accept any responsibility for the unauthorised access by a third party and/or the corruption of data sent by individuals to Edison. When engaging with Edison on social media channels, personal data may be stored on that social media site’s servers, which are outside our control.
